A BSc (Hons) graduate from Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh my background is in Project Management running the construction arm of my family business.

As a fourth generation builder my experience covers areas such as Planning, Building Control, Sales & Marketing, Design and Build, Insurance Claims, Training, Health & Safety Management, Disputes Resolution, Road and Drainage Design, Code for Sustainable Homes, Considerate Constructors, Innovation and Adding Value.
I am a current member of the Private Housing Committee at the Construction Employers Federation and have been on the committee since 2009.
I was also an Employer Representative on the Construction Industry Training Board Training Committee between 2003 and 2009.
I am a full member of the Chartered Institute Of Building.
I have a Diploma in Computer Information Systems from Queens University Belfast and have extensive knowledge in a wide range of software applications from AutoCAD to digital imaging
Interests include spending time with the family, hill walking and Club Rugby having played at Bangor RFC for almost 20 years and now helping coach at mini rugby level.
Having served my time as a joiner I was a Site Manager for Ferguson Homes from 1997 until 2011.
I am a 6 time winner of the NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards which showcase the top Site Managers in Northern Ireland.
My past developments have included Greenvale Manor, Antrim; Glencraig Manor, Antrim; Ballybarnes Meadow, Newtownards and more recently Lakeview Manor, Newtownards.
Glencraig Manor was winner of the CEF / Specify Construction Award for Best Greenfield Development in 2003.
One of only a handful of Site Managers to have achieved an NVQ Level 5 for Site Management through NHBC I am an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.
I am also experienced in Site Surveying, Contract Management, Supply Chain & Procurement, Quality Control, Health & Safety Management.
Several of the developments I managed were designed to Ecohomes (now referred to as Code for Sustainable Homes) and achieved ‘Very Good’ Standard.
Interests include travel, tennis and running.
